Schuylkill Canal Towpath

Yesterday's walk was at the canal in Phoenixville and also the Schuylkill River, where you can see fresh water clams. You can go to Fitzwater Station, a bar and restaurant, to rent canoes or kayaks!

Schuylkill is pronounced "SCHOOL-kill," or spoken quickly, as it often is, "SKOO-kul."

I'd love to live along the canal and have a little deck like this!

Here's Mark in his Beatles shirt.

There I am - gotta lose weight!

By the river. I think my face looks ok. My chest looks GINORMOUS. Ok, gotta lose weight.

House for sale, overlooking the canal. For those interested, and I'm posting this so that you can invite me over for a visit, it's 227 Canal Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Built in 1876, it belonged to Christian C. Sanderson, a Chester County PA historian who was friends with Andrew Wyeth. There is a Christian Sanderson museum in Chadds Ford, PA, too, which isn't too far from the house, but far enough to make it a day trip to Chadds Ford. Anyway, it's $350,000 ($250,000 out of our budget), and has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The price is too high for us, and I need two bathrooms. I can't share a bathroom. I just can't. The house has a name! Like a true estate. It's called "Sunnyside." I'm in love with this house!
